All PS5 Games Available in 2020

Need some help finding something to play on PS5? We've got you covered with a list of everything that's currently available.

The futuristic-looking PS5 just hit store shelves recently, and it came packing a wide variety of different games for players of all stripes to jump into. You've got action-adventure, platforming, shooters, and even quirky games like Bugsnax. It's up to you what you end up trying first, but there's no shortage of things to keep you busy.

We've compiled a list of games that are currently available on PS5 in 2020, as there are plenty more titles on the way in the coming months. This includes exclusives as well as other games that have been made available as PS5 versions. But while this list may seem a bit short, don't worry as there are plenty more games on their way.

All PS5 games available in 2020

  • Assassin's Creed Valhalla

  • Astro's Playroom

  • Borderlands 3

  • Bugsnax

  • Dead by Daylight

  • Demon's Souls

  • Devil May Cry 5: Special Edition

  • DiRT 5

  • Fortnite

  • Godfall

  • Goonya Fighter

  • King Oddball

  • Marvel's Spider-Man: Remastered

  • Marvel's Spider-Man: Miles Morales

  • Maneater

  • NBA 2K21

  • No Man's Sky

  • Observer: System Redux

  • Overcooked!

  • The Pathless

  • Planet Coaster

  • Warhammer: Chaosbane Slayer Edition

  • Watch Dogs Legion

  • WRC 9 World Rally Championship

Backward compatable PS4 games

In addition to a wide variety of PlayStation 5 titles that are available to play right now, users can also enjoy most of the PS4 catalogue on their system as well.

There are only a handful of titles that aren't capable of running on the system, according to Sony, and they're as follows:

  • DWVR

  • Afro Samurai 2: Revenge of Kuma Volume One

  • TT Isle of Man: Ride on the Edge 2

  • Just Deal With It!

  • Robinson: The Journey

  • We Sing

  • Hitman Go: Definitive Edition

  • Shadwen

  • Joe’s Diner

Luckily, you have the entirety of the rest of the PS4 library to use when it comes to backward compatibility. As far as PS3 and earlier titles, however, you're going to be out of luck. You're better served dusting off the PS3 at that point or buying older titles that have since been re-released on the PlayStation Store if you're interested in delving into a library than what's currently available on the PS4. There are plenty of titles coming around the bend, however, so you won't have to look to the past out of necessity for things to play -- only if you're looking to have some fun with retro titles.

All PS Plus Collection games on PS5

All PlayStation Plus users on PS5 get access to a set of games from PS4 that may be played on the system. These are only available for users on PS5, and access cannot be shared or transferred. They're meant to act as something of a "welcome" for users and represent some of the best games that the PS4 had to offer. As such, there are some excellent titles to sift through here.

  • Bloodborne

  • Call of Duty Black Ops III Zombies Chronicles

  • Crash Bandicoot N. Sane Trilogy

  • Days Gone

  • Detroit: Become Human

  • Fallout 4

  • Final Fantasy XV

  • God of War

  • inFAMOUS: Second Son

  • The Last Guardian

  • The Last of Us Remastered

  • Monster Hunter: World

  • Mortal Kombat X

  • Persona 5

  • Ratchet & Clank

  • Resident Evil 7: Biohazard

  • Uncharted 4: A Thief's End

  • Until Dawn

What are some standout titles on Xbox Series X|S?

It can be difficult to decide which games to start with when you first bring home your PS5, but a good rule of thumb is to start with Astro's Playroom. It comes pre-installed for free on your system, and it's an excellent introduction to what the PS5's new DualSense controller can do, from showing off haptics to adaptive triggers.

We'd be remiss if we didn't mention the incredible remake of the PS3 classic Demon's Souls as well, which is a breathtaking ground-up reimagining. It's challenging in all the best ways, especially if you find yourself craving a game that will make you go back to the drawing board now and then.

Now you've got several options when it comes to exploring the PS5 library. We'll also keep updating this list to make sure it's up to date, so be sure to come back for the most up-to-date information we have.
